All foolishness aside, whenever scientific evidence is prestented to the sheeple, they don’t accept it anyway. Better to side with the talking snake, bushes that burn infinitely, walking on water, zombies, etc., than real evidence. I guess most people would rather believe a fabulous fairy tale than evidence, right? I think it was in Bill Maher’s documentary “Religulous” where it was asked of one “believer” that if the fairy tales that were read to her as a child were switched around with the miracles in the bible, would she be able to distinguish the two. I doubt it, as they are both unbelievable, and good entertainment at best. Time to shake off the shackles of the ultimate tool of enslavement. After all, what better a master than an all-seeing, all-knowing mean guy who loves you so very much but will send you to a place where you will suffer forever for screwing up?!? I wouldn’t wish that upon my worst enemy, and I am not divine by any means. How about the rest of you?

Although I seriously doubt it, I hope that comment was meant to be deeply and severely sarcastic. If not, it is mind blowing that people who think like you stil exist! Come on man, seriously?!? Anyone with a shred of intelligence knows that it is ultimately your European relatives that control and installed the “demonic rat” you speak of, all those before him, and all those to come. He does have one thing over the dirty drunk inbred redneck that he replaced: At least when he lies he does it eloquently. By the way, Lucifer, if there ever was such an entity, is referred to as the bringer of light. But in your world bringer of light is translated into “black lord”. And I’m sure there are plenty of Republicans, veterans, and police that are Atheists. Whatever rock people like you crawled from under or hole you burrowed out of, you need to return, and most expeditiously! Make haste infidel!

The scientific tests are virtually useless. As in most good paintings, we see what appears to be a three dimensional presentation on a two dimensional surface. If we look at, primarily, the face, arms and legs, it appears that the shroud would have had to been “tucked-in” about the legs and arms to give it a three dimensional form; that is, not draped over the body.
Look at the face. It appears to be a three dimensional image, as if one was facing someone. Now, try this experiment…wrap your face in something like a dishtowel, pillowcase, etcetera. Now, mark the position of your nose, cheekbones and back of your ears where they occur under the material. Now, remove the material and lay it out flat (as is the shroud) and notice the distortion of the positions of the ears. The ears will be several inches farther apart on the, now, two dimensional image. So, if the shroud had been wrapped around the face, we would see tremendous facial distortion once the shroud had been laid out flat.
Also, there is too much detail in the face. Eye lids and sockets; a neat beard, not one that looks as if it had been wrapped and pressed down. The same goes for the hair.
To get the image shown on the shroud, one would have to stretch the shroud tightly and a bit above the body of Christ and a projection made onto the shroud’s surface from beneath. I don’t believe this was a common Jewish burial ritual at that time.
As a plus, Bibically, He was wrapped in strips of cloth, not placed in a shroud.
Does all this sound reasonable to anyone out there?

It is at least a piece of “evidence” of the supposed crucifixion, or existence for that matter, that can be examined. It will I am sure if allowed to be examined prove itself a hoax.
